Ralph J. Sczygelski has been an attorney since 1991. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, and before that he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor's Degree in Music, Business Administration, and Pre-Law.

Ralph was born on March 6, 1965, in Merrill, Wisconsin, the youngest of six children. He moved to Manitowoc in 1991 after completing Law School to join the Law Firm of Savage, Gregorski, Webster, Stangel & Bendix. It was a tough time for lawyers in that many Law Firms were cutting their staffs. In fact, within one year after joining the Savage Firm, another local Law Firm in town closed business leaving three attorneys to find positions with other firms. One of those attorneys was hired by the Savage Firm, and Ralph was then forced a bit prematurely to fend for himself as far as bringing in clients and keeping himself busy. Ralph then focused on the courtroom work that many lawyers shun due to the stress and pressure that comes with courtroom practice. However, Ralph thrived in that arena.
Ralph is a veteran of more than 1,000 criminal and traffic cases, more than 200 divorces and other family disputes, and more than 400 actions in civil courts (lawsuits). He has also written more than 100 wills, presided over dozens of real estate closings, and prosecuted several hundred cases for the City of Two Rivers before leaving that part-time position in 2004.

In 1998, Ralph also began to focus on appellate law. Very few lawyers focus on this unique legal area in this small town located in Wisconsin north of Madison and Milwaukee. Ralph is now a veteran of more than 100 appellate and post-judgment cases.

Ralph makes his home in Manitowoc, with his wife, Kim, and son, Ian, and daughter, Lilia.
